About My Practice
I offer a relaxing, nonjudgmental environment where we can begin to develop rapport and set the stage for progress. I am aware that clients have a choice of clinician and may have a difficult time finding the comfort level needed for personal growth. I have an eclectic approach to therapy; I strongly believe there is not one specific methodology to the therapeutic process. Most often, I tend to use a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Theory, all from a strength-based perspective.

About Me
I obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago in 2002, with a concentration in school social work and a focus on family systems. For nine years, I worked in a private educational setting on the North Shore serving students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and related disorders. During this time, I began to grow my private practice. I believe in the healing power of humor and mindfulness and do what I can to welcome these into my professional and personal life on a regular basis.
